Howdy, all you hepcats and dames! It’s the Big Cheese here with all the skinny on Survivor 45 episode 5.

The tribes split into two again for a reward challenge, where they used a giant slingshot to launch balls into targets. It was a swell challenge, but the blue team came out on top and got themselves a chopper ride and some classy eats.

Things took a real turn when the cats announced a new tribe swap. Some were jazzed to mix things up, while others were shook to leave their alliances behind.

We also saw some sharp players like Kelly and Jack keep cool and lay low, while Bayleigh and Tommy were working overtime to keep their gang together.

At the immunity challenge, the players had to balance on a tightrope and keep a ball on a wooden disc. It was a real tense time, with some struggling to hold on and some dropping off early. In the end, the red team knocked it outta the park, and they were home free from elimination.

Back at camp, the players hustled to figure out who to vote for. Some were gunning to keep their crew intact, while others saw the swap as a chance to make some big moves.

When the votes came in, the blue tribe decided to give Jack the bum’s rush. They saw him as a weak link and a threat down the line. Jack was a good sport, saying he was aces to have played and grateful for the go.

Other leagues

It’s time to check in on my favorite league: Ainslee, Charles, and Sam. It seems as though they did an actual draft this time, where once someone is selected no one else can choose them. That has resulted in a truly impressive performance (thus far) by Charles. Congratulations, Charles! You’ve come a long way from getting your ass handed to you so profoundly a couple seasons ago. If these picks are in the order you made them, Sam deserves everything that happens based on selecting Brandon in the third round. And Ainslee has Kaleb, Austin, and otherwise a giant dud of a team. Better hope Kaleb and Austin carry you, Ainslee!
