It’s a devastating week for a very specific group of people: The pick-4 fantasy elites.

Jessica may only have been on about 20% of teams, but it’s the specific 20% of teams that she was on that matter here. About half of the top 25 teams in the pick-4 league had Jessica, so this should start having a significant effect on the standings starting next week.

Pick-4 League

The Sky is Falling is still in first place, but Rogers Communist Manifesto is our highest-ranked team that has yet to lose a player. The next two highest-ranked intact teams? That’s right, they belong to me and Matt, proving that the key to fantasy success is having no idea who you’re picking. This theory is further supported by my real-life human friend Friend Chooser, who moves into a tie for 10th place with a completely intact team. She shares 10th place with a group that includes former Champions League player True Alainer, Twitter’s own Survivor Central, and Uncursed-friend-of-Violina Vaderdawsn.

Rounding out the top 25 is a group that includes frequent commenters Diego Armando, Forever1267, and KentMcK. They have just one more point than Kemper Boyd, who loses her first player just when she was just on the cusp of cracking the first page of the standings.

Champions and Outcasts Leagues

There is dominance, and then there is what XL Pelican is doing to the Champions League. He’s not only eight points ahead of second-place Purple Tally, she just lost her first player this week. That leaves a wounded Purple Tally and a 17-points-behind Jersey Luck struggling to come close to taking down the obvious winner of this season’s Champions League. XL Pelican is the 1% of the Champions League, and he’s just going to keep getting richer.

In the Outcasts League, it’s Haves vs. Have Nots. EmAndScoutInBK loses her second player, leaving the bottom half of the standings engulfed in red highlights. The top half remains completely unscathed. I have a tenuous grip on first place, and I’m not at all scared that Saturday Night Palsy has two players that seem destined to make it to the season finale. Blurry Denzel has moved up into second place, breaking up the PRP staff’s grip on the top three.
