I’m back on the predictions beat. Because I’m so good at it?

Andy

Ron seems like the likeliest target since the choice was between he and Eric last week, but things change pretty fast in this game. Especially if the former Kamas ever decide that they should get around to voting out former Manas. But I can’t help but think of the Samoa parallels this season. A big, untested group goes into the merge with a big numbers advantage, and through a series of taking care of unfinished business, idol plays, and flipping disgruntled members, they blew it. All of them blew it. The conditions are all there for this to happen. Heck, that tribe was also significantly underfeatured in the edit. So why not roll my prediction of Ron over from last week?

Brad

I have no clue what will happen this Tribal, and there’s a chance the players won’t either. So exempting anyone with at least half of an idol and putting the rest through the randomizer, Gavin is sent to the Edge this week.

Emma

The previews for next week imply that there will be some shenanigans at tribal, so I’m assuming some idols get used. Which really means anything can happen. But considering he just lost power and doesn’t have any advantages on his side, I guess I’ll go with Ron.

A summary of the last two weeks of votes:

Does that hold again this week? Are the former Kamas just doomed to destroy the seemingly strong alliance they had pre-merge? Nah. This week, Julie and Rick come back into the fold and join the group that took out Eric last week. Ron is already neutered by last week’s Eric vote, so the Kama group can tell the former Lesu tribe that Ron is the next to go. But the real target will be David. And since David doesn’t have an idol to protect himself, he’s headed to Extinction- or, if he’s smart, just going to Ponderosa. And yes, I’m still choosing to believe they weren’t lying when they said they wanted the returning players gone.

Mark

Signs are pointing to a cluster of a tribal council, so it could be anyone’s game. I definitely think one or both of the Kelley/Lauren idols are played, so it can’t be them. Let’s say that Kama plus Rick splits their votes 3/3, the core Lesu vote David, David and Aurora vote another way, and then Rick plays emotionally and doesn’t give David his idol half and David goes home. Pleeease let me be wrong.

Matt

I think there are only three real targets for the vote this week. On the Kama side, the target is almost certainly Ron, who was considered the co-leader last week and now is the only leader left. On the other side, you have the two returnees in David and Kelley. I think it’s easy to imagine how it could be Ron: there are tons of idols, we just lost a Kama, etc. Ron seems the safe prediction. Kelley we don’t think about predtcing because she has an idol! She isn’t going to go home with an idol right? But she has shown a willingness to hold her idol that might cost her when dead-eyed killer Queen Victoria comes up to her and reassures her that the Kama defectors are still on her side. I honestly think both of the above are the likeliest outcomes. But I have also decided that the absolute funniest possible tribal council would be one where right before the vote David gets up to play his half of the shared idol and is forced to beg on his knees for Rick play to play his half. Just absolute groveling. Like licking the shoes in supplication groveling. And it doesn’t work and David goes home. So why not commit to the fact that my predictions are awful this season and zag and pick David this week.
