Now that we’re paying attention to the season again, it’s time to start predicting who will not get voted out of the game (unless they choose to be!). We skipped week one, but I almost want to give everyone points for Reem anyway.
Last Season
Before we get to it, I guess I should probably let you know how last season went. I think I might have mentioned it on the podcast, but I never posted it here. Maybe it’s because y’all won. Congrats.
Swept the finale, way to go readers. No one was rooting as hard for Nick as y’all.
Alright, time to bury the past.
Staff Predictions
Andy
Not a whole lot to go on with just a 60-minute premiere, so instead I’ll just go with my unmatched brilliance and experience to guess Wendy and Aubry. If you have no other reason to go with your picks, just trust that I am the smartest one here.
Matt
Who’d I say on the podcast? Aubry and Wendy right? You want my reasoning go to the podcast. Or read Andy’s reasoning since he said the same two.
Brad
Early in the season is as good as a time as any to zag with my predictions. So for Blue tribe (aka the tribe that will lose immunity), Wendy is clearly lowest on the totem pole, but this will benefit her because no one will take her seriously. Keith will not have done enough to work his way in with the rest of the tribe, and his swimming will cost them the challenge. Dissatisfied (they will never be satisfied…) with two losses out of the gate, Keith heads to the Edge of Extinction.
For the yellow tribe (aka the tribe that wins immunity), my guess doesn’t matter because, as mentioned, they will immunity. So let’s say Ron Clark gets too cute by half with his menu and sends himself home.
Emma
Manu (Mana? Blue tribe, whatever) – Wendy. Do I need to explain why? We know why.
Kama: I guess Aubry because Eric suggested it and we also barely know anyone else on that tribe and the other real option is Ron Clark, and he’ll probably have an idol if they actually go to tribal.
John
The preview wants me to believe Kelley is a good target. And I definitely believe David would vote out Kelley soon, because a “vote out the strong players” strategy doesn’t exactly work against him. But this week, I choose to believe instead in Survivor‘s long track record: Wendy goes home.
Joe’s tribe will not lose.
Mark
Blue tribe: I think Keith is in trouble here. His swimming will be a liability in challenges, and his willingness to go between groups could be seen as shady. Wendy is alone now and could be absorbed into another alliance (though I still don’t think she’ll last long…). I doubt the anti-Kelley wing will be able to mobilize without Wentworth and David pulling some shenanigans this early.
Yellow tribe: Yeah right, like they’ll lose immunity! Ha.
Huh? I have to pick someone? How about that lady who complained about being outside… What’s her name? Julie? Sure, her.
