Staff Predictions

Andy

As I said on the podcast. a lot of this could depend on whether or not Christian wins immunity. Not necessarily because he’ll go home if he doesn’t, but rather that if he does, the inter-tribal alliance can proceed with their plan without having to deal with Angelina’s desire to vote out Christian.

Ultimately, I think Angelina will go home either way. It’s hard for me to imagine her taking the attacks at tribal council in stride the way Kara did. Mostly because I already saw her fail to take people wanting to vote Elizabeth out in stride. This will make her harder to live with and show that she’s a threat to people’s future games. Not because she’d beat them in front of a jury, but because she’ll make it difficult to execute your plans because she’ll always be up in your shit. Getting rid of her will make the game easier and your time on the island better.

Brad

Dan. I’ll explain it, but it involves me reading tea leaves from previews and the NTOS, so if that’s not your jam (i.e. you think those things are spoilers), scroll on.

There’s a preview out and aired with Nick holding up a piece of parchment to the camera. Pair that with Gabby’s small moment looking for an idol at the merge feast, and I think Nick is finding an idol this week. So I’m going to protect Nick, Christian, and Gabby. I also think Carl and Davie are not going here.
In the NTOS, John is predicting a “Bro-chacho blindside,” which would indicate either Christian, Dan, or apparently Alec. But Christian is safe here, and I don’t think the Davids would rally to vote out Alec as they all have working relationships with him.

It’ll be easy to whip votes for a Dan boot, and if word gets out about his second idol, it could get even easier. The Davids will be ready to go, and the Goliaths who don’t want him holding those idols too late may see this as the perfect opportunity to strike.

I also think Angelina won’t be the target because she’s slowly sinking into the 0% club. If people start viewing her as a goat, she’ll be sticking around for the finale.

Emma

I may have said Daviewhile on the podcast, but that’s mostly because I’m irresponsible and forgot to take note of the actual theory I had before recording. So while my head may say otherwise, my heart wants to predict Angelina until she’s voted out.

John

It feels like it might be Angelina, but I don’t want to root for that scenario. Instead, I think the group will look around, see Carl, and say “You’re still here?” Then they’ll collectively remedy that situation.

Mark

Now that the Dan Plan is circulating, I think Davie and Carl will try to blindside him with their idol nullifier. However, I don’t see the Goliaths wanting to move yet, nor the Brochachos turning on Dan, so even if the nullifier works, it’ll boomerang back on Carl and Davie, who only have one idol to Dan’s two. Carl is sent trucking, and the Cowboy crown royals of Ponderosa were born….

Matt

My prediction this week is Angelina. I feel that the Goliaths will feel like they can spare a number now that they have a  two-person advantage, and once she starts targeting Christian (everyone’s favorite) people will be annoyed enough at her that it will send her home.
